Summer Music List

Every summer that I can remember from my teens till now have always had some type of album or single that was the “song for the summer”. So seeing I am having writer’s block today and can’t think of a good topic to write about, I decided to do a list of songs for the summer. Some are old and some are new, but all are songs for the summer. Don’t worry I am linking each song to the video, so you can click the song and reminisce. So let the list begin (these are in no order).

This week’s Music:
You get a double dip of music for the week. Not only a thrown together list of summer music, but also a few albums that I have picked up this week.

Wolf Parade- Expo 86
Wolf Parade is yet another great Canadian band that is coming out on the indie scene. I had read something about this album last week and decided to pick it up and give it a listen. After the first run through the album, it’s not bad. I really love the songs Palm Road and Two Men In New Tuxedos. They should be getting some air time in not long on most of the indie stations, if they aren’t already.

The Henry Clay People-Somewhere On The Golden Coast
Another band I have read a lot about and hear great things as well. I have been interested in them since seeing they will be playing ACL this year. This is an indie band that comes from Glendale, California. After listening to their newest album a few times, it is really good and I can’t wait to see them live at ACL. I like the songs Keep Your Eyes Closed and End of an Empire.

I completely agree with the Summertime by Fresh Prince and 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins. And of course you gotta love any and all Sublime during the summer.

Hey I am new to this whole blog thing and I just started an amateur video game/movie review site. Check me out and let me know what you think.
